On behalf of the PWEA Board of Directors and the 2023 Conference Committee, we invite you to attend PWEA's 94th Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (PennTec 2023) on June 18-21 at the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center, in Hershey, PA.

This year's Conference Program includes a wide range of topics related to water quality.  In addition to the Conference technical sessions, we are also presenting workshops which have been approved by the PA DEP for additional contact hours for wastewater and drinking water operator licenses.  By attending these workshops, you could earn up to 19.0 DEP Contact Hours, or up to 19.0 Professional Development Hours, in just a few days!   

Workshops offering hour-for-hour operator contact hours are available at the discounted rate of $25 each to those who register for the Full Conference.  Those who register for any category less than the Full Conference may add workshops for the fees listed on the Workshop Registration Form.  Seating is limited so you must register in advance to reserve your seat.  Information about workshops can be found by downloading the PennTec 2023 Workshop InformationConference registration fees can be found on the PennTec 2023 Registration Form.  

A very important part of the Conference is the Vendor Exhibition.  By visiting the exhibits, you will gain insight into new and innovative solutions and discover new products and equipment that will help you do your job in a more efficient and safer manner.  We encourage you to talk to the vendors about what is most important to you.

The Conference includes networking opportunities for you to meet and interact with your colleagues.  The Students & Young Professionals (SYP) Committee is organizing a Community Service Project on Sunday. 
UPDATE: The Annual Golf Tournament HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED to Wednesday, June 21st with an 8:30am shotgun start.  On Monday, there will be a Plant Tour, the President's Reception, the Annual PWEA Awards Ceremony and Reception, and the Tailgate Dinner and Cornhole Tournament. On Tuesday, there will be a Stormwater Tour, the Women in Water Luncheon networking event, Operations Challenge, the Beer and Pretzels Reception, and Operator Olympics

Please note, all credit card transactions will include a 3.5% “technology fee.” The credit/debit card name and address information must EXACTLY match what is on record with the financial institution issuing the card or else the transaction will be declined.  This is a security measure to prevent fraudulent activity.  Credit card numbers are NOT stored by PWEA or the payment gateway vendor.

A block of rooms is being held at the Hershey Lodge for Conference attendees. The block will open on February 13th and close on May 19th. UPDATE ON THE HERSHEY LODGE:  PWEA’s room block with the Hershey Lodge has sold out for all dates of the PennTec conference.  If you are looking to reserve a guest room for attending PennTec, make regular inquiries with Hershey Lodge to learn if there have been any cancellations in PWEA’s room block so you are able to take advantage of our negotiated room rate. If you find no cancelled guest rooms are available at the Hershey Lodge and you are in need of lodging for the PennTec Conference, contact Cindy Rock at cindyrock@pwea.org.


Cancellation/Substitution Policy  No refunds granted after May 12th. A $50 cancellation fee will be assessed on refund requests received by May 12th. Refunds must be requested in writing. Substitutions are permitted with a $25 per person substitution fee. Substitutions may be made until May 26th and must be made in writing, accompanied by a new registration form.
