2020 PA DEP Operator Certification Exams

The Pennsylvania Water Environment Association (PWEA) is offering PA DEP Operator Certification Exams on different dates and locations in 2020.  You may register for more than one exam date, but you should allow at least 30 days between exam dates so DEP has time to grade exams and send pass/fail notifications.

Register for your exam(s) through PWEA's online registration system.  Payment for exams is by credit/debit card only. 

NOTE: REGISTRATION IS A TWO-PART PROCESS.  You must first complete the online registration pages and pay the registration fee in order to reserve your seat; and then you MUST complete and return the DEP Test Selection Form within 10 work days. The Test Selection Form advises the DEP of what tests to set up or package for your exam. PWEA will use the Test Selection Form to prepare a confirmation letter, which will include information you will need to know prior to showing up at the exam site.

Exam registration fees are:  for written exams, $70 for PWEA Members or $120 for Non-Members; for computer-based exams held at DEP Regional Offices, $50 for PWEA Members or $100 for Non-Members. 

Before registering, please download and review the DEP informational document titled "Important Information for Operators Taking 2020 Certification Exams" PDF.

In addition to registering online, you MUST also complete and submit the PA DEP Test Selection Form. This form is to indicate to the DEP your requested Class as well as specific Water or Wastewater tests you with to take.
Completed DEP Test Selection Forms must be returned by email to exams@pwea.org OR faxed to 717-303-5219 within 10 days of your online payment.  Your registration confirmation email will contain a link to download the DEP Test Selection Form.

You will receive a system-generated confirmation which reserves your seat at the exam, after completing the registration fee payment.  A formal, detailed confirmation letter will be emailed to the email address you’ve provided, which will include the exam date, location and tests you selected on the PA DEP Registration Form.   Please ensure you mark exams@pwea.org as a safe sender in your address book to prevent the confirmation letter from going to the Spam or Junk folder.  

Cancellation Policy: There will be no refunds after the detailed confirmation letter has been processed and emailed to you.

Keystone Water Conference H2O20 Exhibits and Sponsorships

A limited number of tabletops are available in the Hotel Break Areas on the first floor and the second floor, located near the classrooms. A 5-foot skirted table, 2 chairs and electric will be provided, plus complimentary registrations for two booth representatives. There is 3 feet of space between the tables. No pipe & drape. You must register online for tabletop space, as it is not mentioned in the Exhibitor Prospectus or shown on the Booth Contract.

We invite you to join us as an exhibitor and/or a sponsor at the Joint Technical Conference & Exhibition of the Pennsylvania Water Environment Association (PWEA) and the PA Section of the American Water Works Association (PA-AWWA). The Keystone Water Conference H2O20 will be held at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel in State College, PA, on May 3-6, 2020.

Each association has hosted their own Annual Conference for many years, and each has enjoyed robust attendance. We
anticipate the combined effort of both associations will provide more than double the benefit for everyone involved. This joint conference would be a great place to get the word out about your products, equipment, and services.

Prime space in the Exhibit Hall will sell quickly, so don't delay--sign up to reserve your preferred booth right away!

In addition to booth space, we offer various Sponsorship Opportunities which can further enhance your company's visibility during the Conference. Details can be found on the online registration pages and also in the Exhibitor Prospectus.

The Exhibit Hall will open at 11:45am on Monday and close at 5:30pm on Tuesday. Exhibitor setup will take place on Monday, 7:00-10:30am. Exhibits will open at 11:45am. Teardown will take place immediately following the exhibit hall closure on Tuesday at 5:30pm.

To qualify for member rates, at least one employee must be a member of either PWEA or PA-AWWA.

Before registering online for booth space, be sure to print a copy of the Keystone Water Conference Exhibit Hall Floor Plan so you can choose your preferred booth locations during the registration process.

Please note: there is no deadline for booth registration, but we encourage you to register sooner rather than later. The higher visibility booth locations will go quickly, and there have been times when all available booth space was sold out well before the conference dates. Plus we need your contract no later than March 16th in order to include your company information in the Exhibitor Listing in the On-Site Conference Program. Any exhibitors who sign up after that date will be listed in the On-Site News handout which is distributed on-site to attendees with their registration packets. 

Cancellation Policy: Booth cancellations received in writing on or before March 31st, will receive a full refund less a $250 processing fee. Cancellations received after that date will not receive a refund.
