Description:
Workplace Safety Committees give employees a chance to be directly involved in workplace safety. Who knows the safety concerns better than employees working on the front line?  The main role of the Safety Committee is to help ensure workplace safety. Safety Committees assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of company health and safety policy and procedures.  Safety Committees also assist with safety concerns from workers and help investigate and resolve them before an incident occurs. An employer who has been granted Workplace Safety Committee Certification is eligible to receive a five percent (5%) discount on their Workers' Compensation Insurance premium annually.
